DENVER (KDVR) — Vice President Kamala Harris will be back in Denver on Friday.Harris is once again set to tout the Biden-Harris administration's action on climate and clean energy, as she did back in March. This time, she will also speak at a "finance event" for the Democratic National Committee, according to her office. What’s getting cheaper or more expensive in Denver? No details were immediately released about where Harris will be and when. Credentialed media will cover both events, as well as the vice president's arrival at Denver International Airport.It will be the vice president's third visit to Denver during her time in the administration.Harris last visited the metro area in March. She addressed the same topics that will be the focus of her next visit: "investment in combatting the climate crisis and creating a clean energy economy that works for all," according to her office. DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado is rejoicing in the first NBA championship win for the Denver Nuggets, and it seems locals aren't the only ones celebrating.Google is throwing a cyber-party for the new champions, setting off virtual fireworks for all to see.When "Denver Nuggets" or even the lone word "Nuggets" is entered into the search engine, moving firework animations shoot across the screen over the search results, which of course yield that the Denver team won 94-89 against the Miami Heat Monday evening. Which celebrities cheered on the Nuggets after their NBA championship win? Broward County School Board votes to dismiss clear backpack policy

Clear bags and backpacks were going to be mandatory at all Broward public schools. But now, officials decided to change course. Broward County’s clear backpack initiative will no longer move forward or be enforced in the fall. In a 5-4 vote at Tuesday’s school board meeting, the board voted to stop the rule making process, which was mandatory in order to make the clear backpacks policy. “As someone who has lost someone in a school shooting, I will say, 100%, it wasn’t about clear backpacks, it was about staff following the rules,” Debra A. Hixon said. “We have policies, we have procedures in place, they were not followed that day, and that’s why there are 17 people not walking the Earth today. The clear backpack would not have changed that day for us.” This comes after a contentious townhall that took place Monday night in Plantation. Women were treated to some pampering thanks to Macy’s.The clinic is a refuge from the streets and an oasis of faith for those struggling. It’s also a place where women have access to a doctor, a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse and a therapist.
